Health Assessments Conducted at Noosa Clinic

The federal government has provided funding for patients to have comprehensive health assessments. As part of this Medicare-initiative, Noosa Clinic is able to offer FREE Health Assessments to the following age groups:

45-49 years old

The aim of the assessment is to identify any risk factors for chronic disease such as diabetes, in order to enable preventative steps to be taken. Assessment includes:

  • Weight/height
  • Blood pressure
  • Urinalysis
  • Blood glucose level
  • Skin cancer
  • ECG (if history of Cardiac)
  • Spirometry (if history of Asthma).

75+ years

The aim of the assessment is to identify modifiable risk factors. This is a comprehensive health assessment, including a memory test.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health assessment aims to identify patient’s health, including their physical, psychological and social wellbeing. It also assesses what preventive health care, education and other assistance should be offered to improve wellbeing.

For all of the above assessments, a dedicated appointment time is required with one of our Qualified Primary Health Care Nurse’s who will then arrange an appointment time with your regular GP.
