Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Deshanu (Desh) Jayasinghe

Dr. Deshanu (Desh) Jayasinghe

GP Hours: Mon 8:30 – 1 – 2 – 5  and Thurs 8-1 and 2-5

Desh completed his undergraduate medical degree from James Cook University in 2005. He then became a fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2011.

Desh soon gained a passion for skin cancer medicine which led to further advanced training in this field. He is accredited with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Desh is committed to the early detection of skin cancer and as such utilises the Gold Standard of care in skin cancer detection. Fully trained in cross polarised dermoscopic skin examination, dermascopic digital photography and both simple and complex skin cancer surgery.

He is actively involved in teaching with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Desh is now utilising his skin cancer surgical training, knowledge of head and neck anatomy and uncompromising eye for detail in Cosmetic Medicine. The very personal decision to enhance ones looks could not be in more skilled hands.

Dr. Leisa Andrews

GP Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri 8:30 – 1 and 2 – 8 plus Thursday 1:30 – 5

Completed her medical degree’s at Adelaide University (1999).

After her intern year, she completed a year at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide.Leisa’s General Practice Training was completed in Gippsland, Victoria, where she worked for 10 years.

During that time, she had a year travelling in Europe, completed a Graduate Certificate in Medical Acupuncture at Monash University and had 2 children.Her special interests are Medical Acupuncture, Paediatrics and Women’s Health.

Dr. Kathryn Isbel

GP Hours: Mon, Tues and Thurs 8:30 – 1

Kathy graduated in 2001 from the University of Queensland.

After hospital experience at The Prince Charles, Caboolture and Redcliffe Hospitals, she moved to General Practice.

Kathy has worked across the Sunshine Coast since 2006. She attained her fellowship of the RACGP in 2007.

Kathy has an interest and experience in all aspects of Family medicine, with special interests in aged care and GP trainee education.

Dr. Joanne Pitkin

Dr. Joanne Pitkin

GP Hours: Tue and Thurs 8-1 and 2 – 5

Graduated in 1995, has a diploma in Child Health and is a Fellow of the RACGP.

Joanne has 15 years experience working in general practice and  enjoys all aspects of General Practice with special interests in Women’s health, Child & Adolescent health, Chronic disease management and Aged Care.

Dr. Pitkin currently works Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Dr Lawrence Hindley

Dr Lawrence Hindley is back at Noosa Clinic working part-time.
As well as being A GP, he also offers sedation for procedures to anyone preferring  that option.
He is taking on new patients – there may be a fee for your consult.

Dr-Phoebe-Williams-Noosa-Clinic

Dr. Phoebe Williams

GP Hours: Tue and Thurs 9-12:00 and 12-30-2:30

Phoebe completed her medical training at the University of Queensland in 2013 and became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners’ in 2017. She spent her hospital training years across Brisbane before completing her GP training in far North Queensland enjoying her work with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population. Dr Williams enjoys all areas of General practice and also has completed a Diploma of Child Health.

Dr. Arron Whyatt

Dr. Arron Whyatt

GP Hours: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri 9-1 and 2-5

Dr Whyatt is a caring GP with a twenty-year history of rural and remote medicine, both hospital based and in country general practice. He is experienced in aged care, paediatrics, cardiology and diabetic management. He has also done further training in travel and expedition medicine.

Dr Whyatt is working full-time at Noosa Clinic and will welcome all previous patients and new alike.

Dr Julianne Donovan

GP Hours: Tues and Fri 9-1

Julianne was born and trained in Queensland graduating from Medicine in 2005 and becoming a fellow of the Royal Australian College of GPs in 2015.

Julianne enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a particular interest in Paediatrics. She completed the Sydney Child Health Program in 2017 and has undertaken extra training in screening for developmental conditions of childhood.

Dr Rob Francis

GP Hours: Tues and Thurs 8:30 – 1 and 2 – 4:30 and Friday 8:30 – 1

Rob completed his medical training at The University of Queensland in 2003 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of GPs in 2009 after completing GP training in North Queensland. He has 15 years experience working General Practice and enjoys all aspects of General Practice.  Outside of work Rob enjoys travel and spending time with his family enjoying the outdoors.

Dr-Logan-Shemer

Dr Logan Shemer

Logan completed his undergraduate medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2011 and after several years working in the public hospital system recently completed his Fellowship with the College of General Practitioners.

Logan has worked in a variety of locations across Australia and has a wide variety of interests in medicine. He also enjoys Chronic Disease Management (including Diabetes), Cardiac & Respiratory conditions, Aged Care, General Family Medicine and Skin Cancer Medicine & management – he is a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Logan has also completed an advanced Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

While new to the region, Logan is keen to settle in and provide a long-term service to the area. On his time off, he enjoys spending it with his partner and dog outdoors adventuring with a few coffee shops in between.

Dr Charlotte Byrne

Dr Charlotte Byrne is now at Noosa Clinic and is taking on new patients.  Charlotte grew up on the Coast and is very familiar with Noosa.  Please note there may be a fee for your consult.

Dr Michelle White

Dr Michelle White completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at James Cook University, Townsville in 2005 and has practiced medicine extensively in rural, remote and regional areas throughout the South Pacific, NSW and Queensland.  Michelle is a highly skilled GP with two decades of experience in medicine.  Born in Papua New Guinea, Michelle grew up in both PNG and Australia and understood from an early age how diversity in culture, lifestyle, skin and food affects our health.  Dr White connects deeply with helping people achieve optimal health and wellness and co-creates a lifestyle script with you so you are heard, understood and included in all decision making around your health and well-being.

Rhet Flanagan - Nutritionist

As a dedicated nutritionist, I am passionate about improving your quality of life and health outcomes through personalized and compassionate care. I work closely with you to make meaningful lifestyle changes that can significantly impact your well-being. My expertise spans a wide range of health concerns, including the management of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, liver and kidney diseases, high cholesterol, irritable bowel syndrome, food intolerances and allergies, weight management (both weight gain and weight loss), nutrient deficiencies, sports recovery and performance or simply general nutrition optimization.

Meet Our Nurses & Practice Staff

Our nurses bring a wealth of experience with wound care, immunisations, INR management, diabetes checks and and health management as well as all aspects of general nursing. They work closely with the doctors, and enjoy assisting with surgeries as well.

Please feel free to ask for advice from our nursing staff – between them they have a wealth of knowledge and over 100 years experience.

Kay Stepney

Chronic Disease Management Nurses

Kay is a dedicated and experienced Outreach Nurse.

Kay does Health Assessments and Care Planning which assists with Chronic Disease Management. Her caring and compassionate personality is part of what makes her a valuable part of our team.

Reception staff

These obliging, friendly ladies manage appointments, inquiries, accounts and medical information of a non-personal nature. They are the soul of Noosa Clinic and do a wonderful job.
