Patient Safety & Respiratory Symptoms.
To protect our vulnerable patients and staff, we ask that you please notify reception before arriving if you have symptoms of a respiratory illness (such as fever, cough, sore throat, or runny nose).

Infection Control & Patient Safety

The Noosa Clinic is committed to caring for the health and well-being of our patients. To ensure the safety of our staff and vulnerable community, we request the following from patients with respiratory symptoms:

  • Pre-Visit Testing: If you have any cold or flu symptoms, you may be asked to perform a combined COVID-19 and Influenza Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before attending the clinic.
    • If you test Positive: Please do not enter the clinic. Call our reception team to arrange a Telehealth appointment or to receive further instructions.
    • If you test Negative: You may attend your appointment, but please follow the mask and waiting area instructions below.
  • Separate Waiting Area: We have a dedicated waiting space for patients with infectious symptoms. Please check in at the front desk on arrival, and our team will direct you to this area.
  • Masks: We appreciate you wearing a mask while at the clinic if you have any cold or flu symptoms.
  • Telehealth: In many cases, our doctors can offer a Telehealth consultation to manage your condition without you needing to leave home.

Disclaimer: This policy is in place to protect immunocompromised patients and staff. We appreciate your cooperation.
