Skin Cancer Diagnosis and Management<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

“Approximately, two in three Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer by the time they are 70, with more than 750,000 people treated for one or more non-melanoma skin cancers in Australia each year. Non-melanoma skin cancer is more common in men, with almost double the incidence compared to women.”\u00a0<\/em>Cancer Council Australia<\/em><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The sooner a skin cancer<\/a> is identified and treated, the better your chance of avoiding surgery or, in the case of a serious melanoma<\/a> or other skin cancer, potential disfigurement or even death.<\/p>\n

It is also a good idea to talk to your doctor about your level of risk and for advice on early detection.<\/p>\n

It’s important to get to know your skin and what is normal for you, so that you notice any changes. Skin cancers rarely hurt and are much more frequently seen than felt.<\/p>\n
